Flame melting——Synthesis principle
Pure alumina (Al2O3) powder can produce colorless synthetic
corundum, adding a small amount of color-causing elements to obtain
different colors.
Process flow
① Al2O3 powder is screened, and the powder falls along the inner
tube of the blowing pipe facing downwards.
② When the temperature of the hydrogen-oxygen flame reaches the
melting point of corundum, the corundum melts and the molten powder
falls onto the platform.
③ The platform gradually lowered, and the falling molten powder
formed pear crystals.
④ It takes about 10 hours to form synthetic corundum with a
diameter of 20mm and a length of 100mm.
⑤ After the growth is over, the crystal cools down. During the
growth process, considerable stress is generated inside the
crystal. Therefore, if the heating is stopped, the crystal may
split into two halves along the longitudinal direction (//C axis).
Before cutting, hit the crystal with a hammer and split it, which
can also release part of the stress.

3. Please confirm the size and drawing carefully before
photographing. Once processed, it will not be returned or changed.
4. There is a certain tolerance for processing and material
thickness. Buyers who require no difference should be merciful! The
tolerance is about 0.3mm. Once photographed, we do not accept any
return or exchange due to tolerance!
